Is this just outsourcing with a different name?
No. Traditional outsourcing or staff augmentation hands you developers and steps back. We stay involved through product leadership and QA, and the team becomes part of how your product actually gets built.
Can we add just one developer, or does it have to be a full team?
Both work. Some clients start with a single developer to close an immediate gap, others bring in a small group. Either way, product and QA support scale with the size of the engagement.
